Areas of Practice
Vanessa Overbay’s practice concentrates on personal injury litigation, including automobile and tractor-trailer negligence, premises liability, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, and other general torts. Since her graduation from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1992, Vanessa has represented thousands of clients and their families injured through the negligence of others. She has tried numerous cases in both State and Federal Courts to a successful conclusion. In addition, she is a certified Civil Court Arbitrator.
Vanessa is compassionate and builds positive relationships with her clients by providing each with personal attention and practical advice regarding the best ways to approach their cases. She is mindful that every case and each client is different, and that litigation can be a stressful experience for those who are both hurt and unfamiliar with the process.
Vanessa currently serves as President of the A.C. Flora PTSO and is active in her community. Outside the office Vanessa is often found with her husband, cheering on their three sons who play lacrosse, baseball, football, and dive competitively.
